WHAT IS WELLNESS EDUCATION
With a client in my office, we discuss posture, exercises, and home self-care. For example, for a client with lumbar disc dysfunction, I often recommend backward bending exercises, hamstring stretches, and hip flexor stretch. I will phase in the exercises according to the client’s level of pain and stage of recovery (acute, rehabilitation, or maintenance). We may discuss whether to use ice or heat or both. If appropriate, an acute homeopathic remedy may be recommended for an acute problem. Many nutritional products are appropriate to promote healing and reduce inflammation.
